I have a full five months before I say goodbye to my current students and head home for summer. But before then, there are several things I would like to work on and get to — things I think my students need before they leave my classroom.
My challenge for you this week is to think about what you really want to achieve before your students leave your care (or before summer arrives for my non-teachers). Pick one or two critical things and write them down. As you go through your lesson plans, work to-do lists, and set up your planners, remind yourself of the goals you want to achieve before summer.
Use the word you chose last week to help you identify what you want to achieve. Amongst all your goals, add one or two more that don’t just affect you, but those under your care and guidance. Once you know what you want to achieve, focus on what you can do to start working towards that goal this week or this month.
Have a great week and have fun looking ahead so that you may focus on the present.
