Last week I mentioned that setting goals — personal and work related — is a key element to having a successful and happy year.
I truly believe that goals make all the difference in our lives. Without something to work towards, we lose purpose and drive. Don’t let your future go to the wayside!
Because of this, and after having my students set goals last week, I set a few myself.
- Have a daily objective, on the board and in my notes, and know my why.
- Stay positive, work hard, have fun, and take risks.
- Focus on growth, not perfection.
Class (Fun) Goal:
- I want to read 5 nonfiction books about topics I haven’t read about before and read 1 entire book of poetry. (Getting the kids excited for reading nonfiction this year!)
What goals can you set for the year ahead? Let me know in the comments below!
